Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Hardchin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrence Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lawrence Powers! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Powers tries to clinch up but Hardchin circles away and keeps his distance. Hardchin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Powers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hardchin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Powers has escaped the position, nice work there. Hardchin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Powers has escaped the position, nice work there. Powers is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hardchin has just dragged him back down to the mat. Hardchin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Powers is trying to buck Hardchin off. You can see the frustration on Powers's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hardchin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Powers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Powers is trying to control Hardchin's posture but Hardchin avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardchin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hardchin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Powers knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hardchin is breathing heavily. Powers tries to buck Hardchin off but Hardchin is having none of it. Hardchin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. You can see the frustration on Powers's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hardchin goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Powers rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hardchin's guard! Nice work there by Powers! Powers trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardchin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hardchin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Powers passes into half guard.
Powers is taking a breather. Hardchin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hardchin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Powers is working away from the top position though. Powers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hardchin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Powers looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hardchin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powers passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hardchin! Powers looking to control and managing it successfully. Powers tries to control but Hardchin wriggling away. Hardchin is working to get back to half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Lawrence Powers just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Powers tries to clinch but Hardchin moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Powers shoots and misses and Hardchin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Powers's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Powers looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hardchin advances to half guard. Hardchin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Powers is looking to control Hardchin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Powers avoid being mounted? Hardchin is keen to just control but Powers is a slippery customer. Hardchin is looking for a kimura here.
Hardchin wants to free his trapped foot but Powers is holding on for dear life with his legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Hardchin dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Powers misses with a takedown attempt and Hardchin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hardchin. Hardchin works over Powers with some ground and pound from guard. Hardchin has gone for a leg lock! Powers slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hardchin's guard. Powers throwing strikes from guard but Hardchin blocks nicely. Hardchin working for a triangle but Powers defends it easily.
Hardchin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Powers is aware though and is defending well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hardchin keeping full guard, as Powers tries to pass. Hardchin has his foot on Powers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Powers works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powers throws a big right hand that misses. Powers wants to stand but Hardchin is controlling his posture from full guard. Hardchin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Powers has picked Hardchin up and slammed him! Hardchin can't keep hold of the triangle and Powers manages to pass to side control! Hardchin is working to avoid the ground and pound but Powers connects with a decent elbow. Hardchin is looking to reverse the position. Hardchin is working hard here to advance position. Hardchin on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Hardchin is trying to improve his position. Powers works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Powers working away.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Powers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Powers throws a jab when Hardchin was well out of range. Powers fails in his attempt to clinch. Hardchin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Powers to the mat! Powers manages to get full guard. Powers wants to stand up but Hardchin is controlling him. Hardchin passes Powers's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hardchin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Powers sees it coming and defends easily. Powers trying to hold on to Hardchin's head to control him but Hardchin postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Hardchin there. Hardchin seems to be looking for submissions.
Powers avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hardchin. Hardchin prevents Powers from standing back up.
Hardchin has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Powers defend it? Hardchin steps over the head and cranks it - Powers is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hardchin!
