Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Billy Elliot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Elliot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Ruas! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ruas stuffs the takedown attempt from Elliot. Elliot gets slowly back to his feet. Ruas throws a head kick but Elliot moves out of range.
Elliot closes the distance and clinches up with Ruas, looking for a takedown. Elliot pushes Ruas against the cage but Ruas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ruas misses with an uppercut. Elliot blocks a leg kick. Ruas doesn't manage to clinch there - Elliot circles away.
Elliot looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Elliot. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elliot throws a jab when Ruas was well out of range. Elliot fails to land the takedown. Elliot fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas throws a right and a left that Elliot avoids nicely. Elliot swats away the attempt to clinch by Ruas. Ruas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ruas misses with a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ruas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ruas moves in looking to clinch but Elliot pushes him off. Elliot dives in and grabs Ruas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ruas pushes down on Elliot's head and hops out. Elliot shoots in for a takedown but Ruas shows good takedown defense. Ruas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Elliot paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ruas wants to clinch. Elliot swats away the attempt to clinch by Ruas. Ruas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ruas tries to clinch but Elliot is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruas is looking to clinch. Ruas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Elliot. Ruas doesn't manage to clinch there - Elliot circles away.
Elliot shoots in but no luck this time. Elliot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Elliot shoots in looking for a takedown. Ruas tries to sprawl out of it but Elliot keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ruas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Elliot avoids the head kick by Ruas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Elliot fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ruas misses with a body shot.
Ruas throws a head kick that misses. Elliot throws a right and a left that Ruas avoids nicely. Ruas is looking to clinch. Elliot avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ruas looks to land a right hand but Elliot moved out of range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Elliot shoots in for a double leg but Ruas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ruas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Elliot, pushing him back against the cage. Ruas connects with a knee to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Ruas dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ruas fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Elliot checks it well. Ruas wants to clinch up but Elliot keeps it at a distance. Elliot throws a push kick but Ruas slaps the foot to one side. Ruas tries to clinch but Elliot is having none of it. Elliot throws a looping overhand right but Ruas ducks down to avoid it. The fight stays on the outside here - Ruas looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ruas misses with a combination
and Elliot connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruas misses with the combination.
Ruas tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Elliot counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elliot is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ruas is just riding it out for now. Elliot eventually gives up the hold. Elliot is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Elliot is looking for a kimura but Ruas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Elliot to get the leverage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ruas wants to get back to his feet. Ruas tries to kick Elliot off in order to stand up. Elliot Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Elliot tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ruas is trying to buck Elliot off. Elliot is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ruas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Elliot blocks a head kick by Ruas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruas fails in his attempt to clinch. Elliot shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ruas sprawls well. Ruas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Elliot gets slowly back to his feet. Elliot swats away the attempt to clinch by Ruas. Elliot misses with a head kick.

Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruas throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Elliot blocks it with crossed arms. Ruas is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Elliot is defending well for now.

Ruas unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ruas lands a knee to the head.
Elliot jumps guard but Ruas stands there with Elliot around his waist. Elliot gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ruas comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Elliot pulls guard effortlessly. Ruas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Elliot has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ruas has managed to get both his arms back between Elliot's legs - danger averted. Ruas would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Elliot tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Elliot is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ruas is aware though and is defending well. Elliot working a defensive guard here.
Ruas gets to his feet - Elliot follows without any prompting. Ruas misses with the combination.
Elliot fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Elliot swings for the body but Ruas moves out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Anderson Ruas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ruas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
