O Neil comes to the cage accompanied by Golden Brown. Stan Otter has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mickey O Neil's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mickey O Neil! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stan Otter! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Otter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Otter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. O Neil throws a series of punches but Otter avoids them all with ease. Otter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but O Neil moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Otter. Otter in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Otter with the ground and pound but O Neil regains half guard under the barage of strikes. O Neil keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Otter is trying to control. O Neil wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. O Neil avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Otter. O Neil wants to control but Otter is keeping busy.
Otter looks to land a strike but O Neil avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Neil is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Otter thows a big elbow that misses. O Neil utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Otter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Otter throws a jab when O Neil was well out of range. Otter misses with a combination
letting O Neil counter with a right hand. O Neil works Otter's body with a nice hook. O Neil lands a body shot.
Otter looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! O Neil stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. O Neil lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mickey O Neil! Mickey O Neil retains his light heavyweight title!
