Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BOBO Cuba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Enrico Hygione!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuba looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Cuba thows a huge punch but Hygione dodges it nicely.
Cuba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hygione with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Cuba is trying to work for a kimura but Hygione is defending well.
Cuba is just content to waste time from the top position. Hygione takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Cuba wants to control from the top but Hygione keeps moving.
Cuba tries to stand but Hygione is controlling from the bottom.

Cuba is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hygione is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hygione has escaped and now he's on top!
Hygione wants to stand but Cuba has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Cuba tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hygione gets to his feet. Cuba looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Cuba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hygione tries to avoid it but Cuba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hygione to the ground. Hygione escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cuba is breathing heavily.
Hygione stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hygione wants it to stay on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hygione lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cuba's sensitive parts.
Hygione tries to close the distance and clinch but Cuba swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Hygione counters with a three punch combo that has Cuba backing up. Cuba nods at Hygione to acknowledge the strikes.
Hygione connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hygione lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hygione.
BOBO Cuba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hygione throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hygione shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hygione showed some decent athleticism there.
It looks like Hygione is going to stand back up.

Both fighters circling a little - Hygione finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

and Hygione counters with a thumping low kick.
Hygione lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Cuba is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Cuba doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hygione counters with a left and a right that stings Cuba.
Hygione closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cuba to the mat! Cuba manages to get full guard.
Cuba is trying to keep Hygione in close.
Hygione wanted to stand there but Cuba had control of the position.
Cuba seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Hygione lands a head kick. Cuba smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Enrico Hygione showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hygione seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
BOBO Cuba has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Enrico Hygione is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hygione is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Well Hygione has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
