Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jared Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jared Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tito Chavez!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez tries for a takedown but Bass sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Chavez has a takedown stuffed.
A combination from Chavez does no damage.
Chavez tries to close the distance and clinch but Bass swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Bass scores with a takedown into Chavez's guard.
Bass looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Chavez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bass is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bass drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Chavez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bass has Chavez in his guard.
Chavez wants to pass the guard but Bass is keeping the position.
Chavez wants to stand but Bass is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bass managing to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chavez thows a big elbow that misses.
Bass wants to sweep but no luck.
Bass pulls Chavez in close to his closed guard and prevents Chavez from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chavez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bass swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bass bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chavez's guard.

Bass is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bass tries to free his leg and advance position but Chavez is retaining full guard.
Chavez looks gassed!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bass advances to half guard.
Still in half guard, Bass seems content to control.

Bass is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Bass is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Bass is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chavez defends it well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chavez is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jared Bass dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Chavez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bass to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bass works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chavez looks like he's trying to stand up.

Bass is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chavez is just riding it out for now. Bass eventually gives up the hold.
Chavez is breathing heavily.

Bass is working for a kimura but Chavez is defending it quite comfortably.

Bass is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chavez defends it well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Chavez is looking to control Bass's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chavez avoid being mounted?

Bass is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bass maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Chavez could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bass has cracked it and Chavez is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bass!
