Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Bao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Komada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Komada's choice of entrance music: Little Busters. The key to victory for Shane Bao has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Bao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsuya Komada! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bao throws the kick towards the body but Komada avoids it. Bao fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Tatsuya Komada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Komada misses. Bao slips a jab and a cross from Komada.
Komada misses the body punch and Bao counters with a three punch combo that has Komada backing up. Komada nods at Bao to acknowledge the strikes. Komada swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bao counters with a takedown into side control. Komada is trying to get back to half guard. Bao working away. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Komada can do anything to dispel that myth. Bao trying to control the action but Komada is working from the bottom. Bao tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Komada wants to control but Bao postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Komada is trying to get back to half guard. Komada struggling a bit here. Komada pushes Bao away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bao gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bao closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Bao breaks from the clinch.
Komada fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Bao. No joy for Komada on that attempt. Bao moves into the clinch successfully.

Bao is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Komada sees it coming and defends easily. Bao decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Bao. Komada looks to throw the jab but Bao is out of range. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bao lands a with a good body shot. Bao uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Komada.

and Bao counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Komada! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Komada is trying to escape the mount.

Komada stands up over Bao, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Komada cracks Bao with a solid left hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Komada throws a big right hand that misses. Bao working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Komada. Bao looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bao preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Komada trying to control the position from guard on top but Bao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Komada postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Komada is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Bao is looking for a triangle but Komada pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bao has his foot on Komada's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Komada works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bao is trying to keep Komada in close.
Komada keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bao's head. Komada throws a strike but Bao rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bao controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bao chips away with some ground and pound. Bao drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Komada dives on top into guard. Komada drops back looking for a leg! Bao is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bao manages to kick Komada off! Komada jumps back into Bao's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Komada missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bao had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Komada defends it easily. Shane Bao overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bao utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. That's four minutes gone in the round. Komada is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Bao regains half guard. Komada scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Komada is looking for a kimura here.
Komada looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Bao is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Komada pulls his head out easily. Bao keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bao trying to hold on to Komada's head to control him but Komada postures up.

and Bao holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A right hand to the body from Bao.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Bao. Bao ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bao no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Komada drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bao manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Komada has Bao in his guard. Bao trying to control the position from guard on top but Komada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Komada takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bao sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Komada's guard. Komada blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bao.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bao tries to stand and escape but Komada is controlling the position. Bao is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Komada doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bao. Bao is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Komada has managed to free his arm - good work. Tatsuya Komada has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Komada flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bao is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Komada still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Komada has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Komada lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bao down.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bao sneaks back into half guard. Bao is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Komada pulls his head out easily. Komada lands with a punch from half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Shane Bao showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bao has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
