Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hektor Troy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunnar Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hektor Troy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gunnar Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson slips under a jab from Troy.
Troy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nelson pinned against the cage. Nelson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Nelson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Troy was covering up waiting for the punch and Nelson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Troy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nelson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Troy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nelson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nelson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Nelson rushes Troy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nelson throws a knee to the head but misses.

Nelson has picked Troy up - he's going for a ride! Nelson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nelson gets back to full guard.

Troy drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nelson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nelson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nelson!

Nelson looks up at the clock and then as Troy takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nelson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Gunnar Nelson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Troy throws a body punch but Nelson moves out of range.
Troy jabbing away but nothing is landing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nelson is on top in guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Troy has control of Nelson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nelson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Troy is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nelson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
