Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers sends Knight crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Rogers is motioning to the referee to let Knight up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Knight is rocked!


It looks like James Knight has been cut.

Rogers gets a clinch.
Oh Knight is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Knight pulls guard successfully.
Knight is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Knight seems to have got his legs back now.
Knight is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rogers looking to sit in guard and control but Knight gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Rogers is trying to control the position but Knight postures up.
Rogers striking off his back, scoring a few points.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rogers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Rogers prevents Knight from improving his position.
Rogers trying to control the action but Knight is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rogers tries to pass the half guard into mount. Knight knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Knight wants to get back to his feet.
Knight missing with punches from the bottom.
Knight wants to improve his position but Rogers is controlling well.
Knight tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Rogers is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Knight throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Knight looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Knight is breathing heavily.

Knight decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Knight clinches up with Rogers and pushes him back against the cage.
Knight jumps guard but Rogers stands there with Knight around his waist. Knight gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rogers drags the fight down to the ground.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Rogers is pulling down on Knight's head to control his posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rogers's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rogers looking for a guillotine here but Knight defends easily.

Knight gets to his feet - Rogers follows without any prompting.
Rogers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Knight lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rogers backs up against the cage.
Rogers swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Knight counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Knight.

Knight pulls guard.
Rogers trying to control but Knight is working from the bottom.
Knight throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Rogers gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rogers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Knight counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rogers!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rogers is trying desperately to improve position.
Rogers wants to hold on but Knight pushes him away.
Rogers tries to reverse the position but Knight maintains control.
Knight with shots to the head and body - Rogers looks very uncomfortable down there.


It looks like Kyle Rogers has been cut.

Knight is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rogers is surviving well by controlling Knight's body position as best he can.
Knight looking to finish Rogers with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rogers!


Rogers is rocked!
Knight raining down shots from the mount!
Rogers is still in real trouble! Can Knight finish him?


The cut above Kyle Rogers's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kyle Rogers's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). James Knight!
