Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Leee Murray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Walter Payton! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Payton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Murray sprawls well. Murray wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Payton gets slowly back to his feet. Payton shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Murray is trying to defend but Payton finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Payton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Murray with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Payton is working for a kimura but Murray is defending it quite comfortably.
Murray pushes Payton off looking to stand but Payton dives back in and keeps control.
Payton is pressing down on Murray's thigh, looking to free his foot. Murray is holding on for now. Murray trying to control here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Payton is defended easily by Murray. Murray wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Payton looks gassed! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Murray, right into the meat.
Murray scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Walter Payton has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Murray drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Murray trying to control the position from guard on top but Payton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murray gets to his feet. Payton looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Murray throws a combination. Payton tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murray lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Murray looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Payton! Murray punishing his opponent with strikes. Murray pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Murray has isolated one of Payton's arms. Payton looking to fight him off but Murray twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
