Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stef Rabox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bison Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Like a Boss. Stef Rabox has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabox fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rabox tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.

Smith clinches.

Smith is trying to trip Rabox. He has hold of a leg but Rabox is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Smith persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Smith counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Smith.
Smith tries to pull guard but Rabox holds him up against the cage and eventually Smith drops back down to his feet.

Smith manages to break the clinch.
Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rabox's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.
Stef Rabox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bison Smith.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rabox's guard.
Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Rabox tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Smith counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rabox's guard now.
Rabox wants to stand up but Smith is controlling him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Smith stands and throws Rabox's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Rabox sneaks out the side door and pushes Smith away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bison Smith dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Smith forces Rabox back against the cage and clinches.
Smith can't get the takedown.
Rabox lands a body punch.

Smith tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rabox just stands there and leans against the cage.
Smith blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rabox tries to clinch but Smith moves away

and Smith counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rabox!

Smith working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Smith is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rabox is surviving well by controlling Smith's body position as best he can.
Smith has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Smith prevents Rabox from getting the reversal.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rabox is in a horrible position here. Smith smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Smith lands with a big right hook that stumbles Rabox - he's out on his feet here! Smith follows up with another monster hook that separates Rabox from consciousness! Rabox falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Smith stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
