Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Driscoll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonny Bush!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Driscoll!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Driscoll tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bush swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Driscoll misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bush looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Driscoll clinches.
Driscoll pushes Bush back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Bush is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Driscoll gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Driscoll escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Driscoll darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Driscoll darts in and clinches Bush up against the cage.
Bush has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Driscoll avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonny Bush. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Driscoll's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Driscoll clinches up against the cage.

Driscoll manages to break the clinch.
Bush shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Driscoll as he jumps to the side.
Bush fails with a takedown attempt.

Driscoll scores with a jab to the body.
Bush takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Driscoll thuds his right hand into Bush's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Bush shoots for a double leg takedown but Driscoll sprawls well. He's pushed Bush's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Driscoll lands a jab to Bush's midsection.

Driscoll shoots in and bounces Bush off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Driscoll tries to stand but Bush is controlling from the bottom.

Driscoll trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bush's guard.

Driscoll trying to control but Bush is working from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bush is on top in guard.
Bush works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Bush wants to control but Driscoll is keeping him busy.
Bush thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bush is trying to control the action in half guard but Driscoll is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bush is thwarting Driscoll's attempts to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Driscoll is trying to stand back up but Bush is controlling him
Bush thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bush is trying to control. Driscoll wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Driscoll misses with a body shot.
Driscoll rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bush moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Driscoll throws a nice looking combination but Bush bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bush shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Driscoll counters with a single leg into guard. Bush didn't expect that.
Bush manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bush cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Driscoll wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
BOOM! Bush connects with a massive shot to the dome!
A nice elbow there by Bush.
Bush avoids the attempt from Driscoll to control.

Bush is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Driscoll to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Driscoll shrugs it off.
Driscoll squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bush looking to finish Driscoll with some ground and pound. This is bad for Driscoll!
Bush misses with a head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Don Driscoll dominated that round.
That's time! Bush's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Driscoll fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bush looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Driscoll closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Driscoll working away.

Driscoll decides to stand back up.
Driscoll throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Driscoll shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bush tries to roll over but Driscoll keeps him under control.
Bush gets full guard.

Bush is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Driscoll avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bush looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Driscoll wants to pass the guard but Bush is keeping the position.

Bush is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Driscoll defends well.
Driscoll wants to get up but he can't break Bush's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Bush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bush is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Driscoll is aware though and is defending well.
Driscoll missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Bush has his foot on Driscoll's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Driscoll works his way back into a safe position though.
Jonny Bush overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Driscoll won't allow Bush to sweep him here.
Driscoll wants to stand but Bush is controlling his posture from full guard.
Driscoll sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Driscoll really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bush. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Driscoll wants to stand but Bush is controlling his posture from full guard.

Driscoll stands up and waves to Bush to follow him.

Driscoll shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bush is trying to defend but Driscoll finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Driscoll is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bush is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Driscoll is tapping! Great win for Bush!
