Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Masakatsu Ueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Anderson's choice of entrance music: Queensryche - Jet City Woman. Felix Anderson looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Masakatsu Ueda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Felix Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Anderson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ueda to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ueda stays in close to Anderson's body and controls the position.
Anderson looking for a sweep. Not yet Anderson, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ueda cracks Anderson with a solid left hand.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ueda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ueda trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Ueda lands a couple of digs.
Anderson keeping moving, preventing Ueda from controlling successfully.

Anderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ueda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ueda keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Anderson's head.
Ueda wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
Ueda makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Anderson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ueda working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Anderson's head.

Ueda is working Anderson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ueda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Anderson working for a triangle but Ueda defends it easily.

Ueda thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ueda controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Ueda seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Anderson for as long as he can get away with.
Anderson controls Ueda momentarily but Ueda frees himself.

Anderson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Ueda is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Anderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ueda gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ueda advances to half guard.
Ueda takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ueda wants to take a breather but Anderson is having none of it.
Ground and pound from Ueda.
Anderson is looking to improve his position.
Ueda is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Ueda seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Anderson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ueda scores with a couple of nice shots.
Ueda working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Ueda trying to pass the guard but Anderson defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ueda prevents Anderson from improving his position.
Ueda seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ueda lands a nice short elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Masakatsu Ueda dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Ueda closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Anderson did well to prevent Ueda getting side control.

Ueda is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Anderson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Anderson is not content to let Ueda control the position.
Ueda is thwarting Anderson's attempts to control the position.
Ueda is controlling the pace.
Ueda drops an elbow to the side of Anderson's head.

Ueda lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ueda is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Ueda seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Anderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Ueda is trying to control. Anderson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Anderson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ueda winds up and cracks Anderson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ueda wants to control but Anderson is keeping him busy.

Ueda has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Anderson defend it? Ueda steps over the head and cranks it - Anderson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ueda!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Masakatsu Ueda!
