The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mechtaniy works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Hannibal Lecter has been cut.

Mechtaniy pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Mechtaniy sizes up Lecter with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Mechtaniy moves out of range as Lecter throws a body kick.
Mechtaniy cracks Lecter with a good jab.
Mechtaniy lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Mechtaniy tries to work over Lecter's front leg with a kick but Lecter checks it.
Mechtaniy slaps away a takedown attempt from Lecter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mechtaniy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lecter's head backwards.
Lecter is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mechtaniy drops Lecter with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Lecter! Mechtaniy dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
