The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbons changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lake looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lake is trying to get back to half guard.
Gibbons landing a few strikes.
Gibbons staying calm.
Gibbons lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lake down.
Gibbons stands up and beckons Lake to his feet.
Gibbons moves into the clinch successfully.
Lake is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lake wants a takedown but no success here.
Gibbons pulls guard.
Gibbons throws a nice elbow from the bottom.

Gibbons takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lake knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gibbons on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gibbons get's back to his feet.
Gibbons closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Gibbons moves into full mount! Lake won't be happy about that!

Gibbons throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Lake has his hands clasped together but Gibbons breaks the hold and Lake is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gibbons!
