Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matsuda Shotaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aiko Hideyoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matsuda Shotaro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aiko Hideyoshi! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Hideyoshi. Shotaro drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hideyoshi tries to buck Shotaro off but Shotaro is having none of it. Shotaro is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hideyoshi has escaped the position, nice work there. Hideyoshi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hideyoshi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hideyoshi. Shotaro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hideyoshi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shotaro is working hard here to advance position. Shotaro avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shotaro looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Hideyoshi wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shotaro wants to control from the top but Hideyoshi keeps moving. Hideyoshi wants to hit a switch here but Shotaro passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hideyoshi there! Shotaro looking to control and managing it successfully. Shotaro looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hideyoshi wants to control but Shotaro is having none of it. Hideyoshi can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shotaro looking to control but Hideyoshi is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matsuda Shotaro dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Shotaro darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hideyoshi is pressing down on Shotaro's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Shotaro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hideyoshi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hideyoshi has escaped and now he's on top! Hideyoshi pushing down on Shotaro's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shotaro keeps control of the position for the meantime. Hideyoshi controlling the pace. Hideyoshi is looking to take a break and control but Shotaro is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shotaro is looking to control Hideyoshi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Shotaro avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hideyoshi trying to mount his opponent but Shotaro defends it. Shotaro is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hideyoshi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hideyoshi's back! Shotaro trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Hideyoshi doesn't escape. Hideyoshi manages to reverse the position and now he's in Shotaro's guard. Nice work there by Hideyoshi.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Matsuda Shotaro just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Hideyoshi fails with the takedown and Shotaro counters with a single leg into guard. Hideyoshi didn't expect that. Hideyoshi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Shotaro wants to control from the top but Hideyoshi keeps moving. Hideyoshi is pulling down on Shotaro's head. It's preventing any offense from Shotaro, at least for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hideyoshi being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hideyoshi wants to get back to his feet but Shotaro is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matsuda Shotaro dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Shotaro closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hideyoshi to the mat! Hideyoshi manages to get full guard. Hideyoshi is trying to hold Shotaro in close to prevent damage but Shotaro has managed to pass into half guard.
Shotaro slows the pace down in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shotaro has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hideyoshi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shotaro's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shotaro's back! Shotaro trying to control the hands but Hideyoshi won't let him. Hideyoshi throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Hideyoshi throwing damaging strikes from the back! Shotaro could be in trouble here!
Shotaro tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Shotaro wants to hold on but Hideyoshi pushes him away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shotaro has Hideyoshi pulled in close to control his posture. Hideyoshi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shotaro's head. Shotaro is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Shotaro can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hideyoshi controls the pace. Shotaro working a defensive guard but Hideyoshi manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Matsuda Shotaro just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Shotaro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hideyoshi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hideyoshi tries to free his leg and advance position but Shotaro is retaining full guard. Hideyoshi controls from within his opponent's guard. Hideyoshi trying to control but Shotaro is working from the bottom. Aiko Hideyoshi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Matsuda Shotaro is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hideyoshi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Aiko Hideyoshi. Well Shotaro has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
