Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Szkorpion Szkorpion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Mcclendon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcclendon swats away the attempt to clinch by Szkorpion.

Szkorpion's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mcclendon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Mcclendon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Szkorpion kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mcclendon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Szkorpion Szkorpion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Mcclendon.
Szkorpion tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcclendon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Szkorpion buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Mcclendon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Szkorpion uses from the top position.
Mcclendon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Szkorpion gets to his feet - Mcclendon follows without any prompting.

Mcclendon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well Mcclendon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
