Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Raven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Show out. Raven has chosen Bleed it Out by Linkin Park as his entrance music. James Raven acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Will Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Raven!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown keeps the fight on the outside.
Brown has a takedown stuffed.
Brown fails with a takedown attempt.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Raven shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Raven but Raven pushes him off and we're back to square one.
James Raven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like James Raven has been cut.

Raven pushes Brown up against the cage in a clinch.

Brown manages to break the clinch.
Raven moves out of range as Brown strikes.
Brown will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Brown tries to keep at a distance but Raven has taken the fight into the clinch.

Raven is fighting off a takedown attempt but Brown is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Raven to the mat. Raven regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Raven postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brown is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Raven, into his guard.

Brown has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Brown darts in and clinches Raven up against the cage.

Raven's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Raven changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brown tries to avoid it but Raven manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brown to the ground. Brown escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brown fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Raven holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Raven is trying to force a seperation but Brown has the dominant position.
Raven lands a knee to the body.
Brown is breathing heavily.

Raven manages to pull guard.
Raven doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Raven manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brown manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Will Brown will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Raven looking to sit in guard and control but Brown gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Raven bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brown's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Raven has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Raven slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A close second round but James Raven will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Raven has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brown is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Raven.

Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Raven keeps working.
Raven is looking to reverse the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

You can see the frustration on Raven's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Brown holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Raven escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Brown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Raven's waist but Raven gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brown off to one side.

Raven is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Brown off and has taken his back!
