Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Ready (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Rockstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockstein has chosen Dethklok - Awaken as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Leonard Rockstein has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with James Ready's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Leonard Rockstein!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ready throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ready takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rockstein throws the kick towards the body but Ready avoids it.
Ready tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rockstein swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ready tries to clinch there but Rockstein circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ready.
Ready keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ready throws a sloppy head kick and Rockstein moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ready doesn't manage to clinch there - Rockstein circles away.
Rockstein misses the jab.
Rockstein stuffs the takedown attempt from Ready. Ready gets slowly back to his feet.

Ready shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rockstein sprawls well. Rockstein wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ready gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Ready. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ready feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rockstein has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rockstein tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ready prevents Rockstein from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ready tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rockstein misses with a hook.
Ready is looking to clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ready is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rockstein throws a series of punches but Ready avoids them all with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ready has taken the fight to the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Rockstein's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Rockstein is looking to break free of the clinch but Ready has double underhooks.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Ready jumps guard but Rockstein stands there with Ready around his waist. Ready gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ready tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rockstein smiles and moves away.
Ready misses with a series of wild punches.

Ready tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rockstein sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ready somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Ready. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rockstein throws a big shot that misses.
Rockstein smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rockstein lands a body shot.
Ready misses with a takedown attempt - Rockstein sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rockstein catches Ready with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Rockstein swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ready takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A decent looking cross lands there for Rockstein.
A telegraphed right hand from Rockstein misses the target.
Rockstein connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


It looks like James Ready has been cut.
Rockstein paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ready walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Rockstein tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Ready counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ready.
Ready wants to pass the guard but Rockstein is keeping the position.
Rockstein pulls Ready in close to prevent any damage.
Rockstein keeping moving, preventing Ready from controlling successfully.
Ready trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Rockstein looking to control.
Rockstein has a closed guard, preventing Ready from standing up.
Rockstein is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ready is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ready wants to control from the top but Rockstein keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leonard Rockstein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on James Ready's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


No luck for Ready with that takedown attempt.
Ready takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rockstein is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ready.
James Ready seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ready doesn't manage to clinch there - Rockstein circles away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rockstein is looking to take a break and control but Ready is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ready is looking to regain half guard here but Rockstein keeps moving and retains side control.

Ready is not content to let Rockstein control the position.
Ready can't do much from the bottom here.

Rockstein wants to stand but Ready has his arm trapped.
Ready is looking for a sweep.
Rockstein wants to control but Ready is keeping him busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ready fails to land the takedown.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rockstein works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Ready shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rockstein as he jumps to the side.

Rockstein stuns Ready with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

James Ready is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rockstein jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Leonard Rockstein comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rockstein has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
