Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Flip Flop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nigel Beanhead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nigel Beanhead is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Flip Flop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Nigel Beanhead!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beanhead stuffs the takedown.
Flop tries to close the distance and clinch up but Beanhead swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Flop throws a looping overhand right but Beanhead ducks down to avoid it.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Flop. Beanhead shrugs it off though.

Flop throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Flop is looking to slow Beanhead down with leg kicks.

Flop drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Flop jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Flop thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Flop is going olschool here, as he tries to force Beanhead to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Beanhead shrugs it off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Flop misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Flop looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Flop is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Beanhead!

Flop has hold of Beanhead's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Beanhead manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Flop is landing with some decent strikes but Beanhead is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Beanhead can do anything to dispel that myth.
Flop tries to control but Beanhead wriggling away.
Beanhead is looking to improve his position but Flop isn't that keen on the idea.

Flop lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Flop has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Flop wants to finish this one by submission but Beanhead is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Flop.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That has opened up Nigel Beanhead's cut even more.
Beanhead keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Flop is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Beanhead can do to turn this around?

Beanhead is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Flop breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
