Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between BJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holt has chosen All Along the Watchtower - Bear McCreary as his entrance music. James Holt is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, BJ Penn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Holt! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn ducks under a wild hook from Holt. Holt throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Holt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Penn shoots in for a double leg but Holt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Holt gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Holt pushes Penn off and gets back to his feet.
Penn is looking to clinch. Holt scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A slow jab from Holt misses its intended target. Holt jabbing away but nothing is landing. Holt looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A punch lands to the side of Penn 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like BJ Penn has been cut. Penn scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Penn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Holt sees it coming and defends easily. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Holt tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Holt has a hand on Penn's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Penn takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Holt tries to buck Penn off but he can't manage it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holt swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Penn postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Holt looks a forlorn figure.
Holt can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holt tries to lock up and control but Penn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Penn is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Holt to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Holt shrugs it off. Holt manages to regain half guard. Good work. Holt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Penn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Penn is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Penn is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Holt tries to roll over but Penn keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holt is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Penn has latched onto it... Big trouble! Penn pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Holt is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Penn!
