Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between roger nottingham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalib Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalib Koscheck told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koscheck shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Koscheck was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Koscheck throwing strikes here but nottingham is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

nottingham tries to lock up and control but Koscheck gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Koscheck looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks nottingham with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Koscheck is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, nottingham manages to get to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now nottingham is on top in guard.

nottingham trying to control the position from guard on top but Koscheck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Koscheck has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes nottingham off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
A big right from Koscheck misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! nottingham's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Koscheck tests nottingham's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Koscheck is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in nottingham's half guard.
Koscheck lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Koscheck is just content to waste time from the top position. nottingham takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

nottingham is looking for a triangle but Koscheck pushes his legs off easily.
Koscheck throws a big right hand that misses.

Koscheck has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing nottingham to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Koscheck is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - nottingham pulls down on the head and he's put Koscheck to sleep! This one is all over!
