Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ripp Hoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Jamse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ripp Hoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sid Jamse!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoy tries to clinch but Jamse is having none of it.

Hoy takes the fight into the clinch.
Jamse drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jamse turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jamse manages to end up in side control.
Hoy is trying to improve his position.
Jamse has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Jamse can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hoy is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jamse is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Jamse misses with a head shot.

Poor strikes thrown by Jamse there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Hoy tries to lock up and control but Jamse gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jamse can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hoy is looking to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jamse thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Hoy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hoy tries to get out of the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Jamse throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hoy because Jamse loaded up on that one.

Jamse throwing strikes here but Hoy is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Despite being in the dominant position, Sid Jamse just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jamse misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Jamse shoots in looking for a takedown. Hoy tries to sprawl out of it but Jamse keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hoy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jamse shoots in but Hoy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ripp Hoy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hoy misses with a double jab.

Hoy scores with a takedown into Jamse's guard.
Hoy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jamse swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hoy controlling from the top position.
Hoy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jamse on the ground.
Jamse is breathing heavily.
Hoy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Hoy wants to control from the top but Jamse keeps moving.
Hoy postures up.
Jamse bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hoy's guard.

Jamse has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jamse won't allow Hoy to sweep him here.
Jamse wants to control from the top but Hoy keeps moving.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hoy tries to land a sweep but no joy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Hoy throws a leg kick but Jamse sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Jamse is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hoy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jamse works to advance to full mount. Hoy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Jamse lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hoy hang on?

Hoy is desperately trying to improve his position but Jamse has a good base and remains in mount.

Hoy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Sid Jamse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Hoy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Jamse is trying to get back to half guard.
Jamse sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jamse might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hoy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hoy fails with an attempt to clinch.

Hoy feints and as Jamse raises his hands in defense, Hoy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jamse holds on and takes a little breather.

Jamse is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hoy won't allow Jamse to sweep him here.
Jamse doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Jamse bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hoy's guard.
Jamse stands and throws Hoy's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Ripp Hoy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jamse is looking to take a break and control but Hoy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ripp Hoy.
I think Jamse has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
