Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juha Wasama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genki Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sudo has chosen Mad World as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Genki Sudo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juha Wasama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genki Sudo! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wasama tries to clinch there but Sudo circles away.
Sudo keeps the fight on the outside. Wasama has Sudo up against the cage in a clinch.
Sudo takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Genki Sudo has been cut. Sudo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Wasama wants to get back to his feet but Sudo drags him back down. Sudo decides to stand back up. Sudo steps back and let's Wasama get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wasama dodges the punch combination from Sudo.
Sudo looks to land a combination but Wasama avoids it well. Wasama is looking to clinch but Sudo is avoiding it.
Juha Wasama is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sudo throws a right and a left that both miss. Sudo rushes Wasama and presses him up against the cage. Sudo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Wasama avoids it. Wasama throws an elbow that misses.
Sudo takes an elbow to the temple. Sudo is trying to break the clinch but Wasama is controlling him. Wasama keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sudo's efforts to push away. Wasama looks to throw an elbow but misses. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Sudo as Wasama tries to tie him up. Sudo is trying to break free. A frustrated look appears on Sudo's face as he tries to break the clinch. Sudo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sudo is trying to break the clinch but Wasama has him pressed against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Wasama throws an elbow but it's blocked.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Wasama can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Wasama throws an elbow that misses.
Sudo blocks the elbow strike.
Wasama misses with an elbow over the top. Wasama creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sudo's defenses. Wasama is trying to stall.
Wasama is breathing heavily. Sudo manages to break the clinch.
Sudo throws a head kick but Wasama moves out of range.
Sudo throws a nice looking combination but Wasama bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sudo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Wasama tries to clinch but Sudo moves away and Sudo counters by clinching up. Wasama gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Sudo has had enough of the clinch but Wasama keeps him there for the moment. Sudo wants to break the clinch but can't.

Maybe Wasama would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Wasama looking to throw knees to the head but Sudo is blocking nicely.
Wasama comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wasama wants to stall.
Sudo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wasama tries to clinch up and Sudo counters by moving into the clinch. Wasama tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Wasama looking to slow down the pace here. Sudo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sudo misses with a head kick.
Sudo's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sudo duly obliges. Sudo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Sudo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wasama moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Sudo connects with a high kick. Sudo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Sudo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sudo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wasama sprawls well initially but Sudo persists and gets the takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Genki Sudo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Genki Sudo's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Sudo throws a right hand that Wasama ducks under and follows up with a left that Wasama also avoids with ease. Sudo fails to land with a series of punches.
A head kick misses from Sudo. Sudo pushes Wasama up against the cage in a clinch. Wasama lands a nice elbow. Sudo successfully pulls guard.
Sudo pushes Wasama off and gets back to his feet.
Wasama tries to clinch and Sudo counters by clinching up. Wasama tries to land a knee to the head but Sudo blocks with his arms.
Wasama using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sudo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Wasama creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Wasama taking a breather. Sudo has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Wasama regains guard immediately. Sudo stands up from guard. Let's bang! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sudo clinches. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wasama avoiding damage as Sudo throws knees to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sudo stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Genki Sudo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Genki Sudo's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Wasama trying to control the position but instead, Sudo has worked for underhooks and has pushed Wasama into the cage. Sudo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sudo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sudo is trying to force a seperation but Wasama has the dominant position. Sudo tries to work over Wasama's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Sudo breaks the clinch.
Wasama clinches but Sudo breaks the clinch and Sudo counters with a three punch combo that has Wasama backing up. Wasama nods at Sudo to acknowledge the strikes. Wasama tries to clinch and Sudo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sudo. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sudo stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Sudo circles away from the clinch attempt and Sudo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wasama won't be happy with that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sudo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Wasama to his feet. Juha Wasama has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sudo moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Sudo has closed the distance and engaged Wasama in a clinch.
Wasama lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Sudo is looking to break free of the clinch but Wasama has double underhooks. Sudo blocks the elbow strike.

Wasama tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sudo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sudo. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wasama is working an open guard so Sudo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sudo lands a jab-cross combination. Sudo works over Wasama's head and body with a nice combination. Sudo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wasama prevents Sudo from breaking the clinch. A bit of stalling here from Sudo.

Sudo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sudo throws a head kick that half lands.
Sudo cracks a nice hook into Wasama's ribs. A punch combination from Sudo misses. A head kick misses from Sudo. Sudo scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Left hook, right uppercut from Sudo. Sudo cracks Wasama with a right hand to the side of the head. Sudo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Genki Sudo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sudo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Sudo moves into range and clinches up with Wasama.
And that's the end of the fight! Genki Sudo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sudo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
