Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Randy Rob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Martello! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rob tries to clinch but Martello is having none of it. Rob tries to clinch up but Martello circles away and keeps his distance. Rob throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Martello's head.
It looks like Max Martello has been cut. Rob wants to clinch up but Martello keeps it at a distance. Rob keeps the fight on the outside. Rob throws a series of punches but Martello avoids them all with ease. Rob misses with a takedown attempt - Martello sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nice sprawl there from Rob as Martello shoots in. Rob tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Martello counters by clinching up. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Martello ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Martello no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Martello looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Martello is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martello is looking for a triangle but Rob pushes his legs off easily.
Rob is looking to work some ground and pound but Martello has wrist control. Martello uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Rob doesn't succeed with the takedown and Martello counters by clinching up. Rob wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Rob. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick misses from Rob. Martello changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rob looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Martello goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rob rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Martello's guard! Nice work there by Rob! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Martello wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rob's corner is telling him to maintain position. Martello trying to control the position here. Martello's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Rob trying to control the position from guard on top but Martello is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rob preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martello is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rob tries to stand but Martello is controlling from the bottom. Rob trying to control but Martello is working from the bottom. Rob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Martello is keeping the position for now. Rob is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rob fails with the takedown and Martello counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Martello. Martello has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rob regains guard immediately. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rob is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Martello looking to pass the guard. Martello trying to control but Rob is working from the bottom. Rob is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Martello looking to sit in guard and control but Rob gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Martello bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rob's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Martello dominated that round. The cut man is working on Max Martello's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Rob tries to clinch but Martello moves away and Martello counters by moving into the clinch. Rob breaks the clinch.
Rob rushes Martello and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Martello softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Martello missing with knees to the body.
Martello wants a takedown.

Rob is trying to keep Martello in close.
Martello throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rob works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Martello stops Rob from standing up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Martello accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Martello wants to pass the guard but Rob is keeping the position. Rob looking to hit a scissor sweep but Martello is one step ahead there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martello got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rob has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Martello has managed to get both his arms back between Rob's legs - danger averted. Martello slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rob tries to clinch up and Martello counters by moving into the clinch. Rob prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Martello just leaning against Rob, taking a breather. Rob taking a breather. Rob breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rob tries to clinch up but Martello circles away and keeps his distance. Martello plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Randy Rob has been cut. Martello forces Rob back against the cage and clinches. Rob fails to pull guard.
Martello has clasped his hands together around Rob's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Rob is looking for a sweep. Rob is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Rob seems a little lost for a moment, as Martello dominates the positioning. Rob manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Martello seems to be working for a kimura but Rob defends the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rob has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Martello is working away from the top position though. Martello passes to side control. You can see the frustration on Rob's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Martello has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Martello controlling the pace for now. Rob is looking to improve his position but Martello isn't that keen on the idea. Martello tries to control but Rob wriggling away. Rob taking shots to the head. Martello cracks Rob with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Martello showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Martello trying to control the action but Rob is working from the bottom. Martello is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rob has escaped the position, nice work there. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Rob's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Martello landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Martello is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rob is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rob tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rob gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Martello prevents Rob from improving his position. Rob wants to control but Martello is keeping busy and won't allow it. Martello slips a nice elbow through Rob's hands, connecting with Rob's forehead. Martello is looking to stall here but Rob recovers full guard. Martello trying to control but Rob is working from the bottom. Martello scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martello trying to control the position from guard on top but Rob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rob wants to stand and escape but Martello is having none of it. Martello throws a big right hand that misses. Martello wants to control from the top but Rob keeps moving.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rob shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Martello manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Martello tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rob trying to control the position from guard on top but Martello is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rob wanted to stand there but Martello had control of the position. Max Martello is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Martello bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rob's guard. Rob trying to keep a closed guard but Martello is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Martello sitting in guard here, content to control. Randy Rob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Max Martello comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Martello has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
