Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Swiftwater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Pederson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glenn Swiftwater! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Pederson! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pederson misses with a series of wild punches.
Pederson tries to close the distance and clinch but Swiftwater swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A decent looking cross lands there for Pederson. Pederson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Swiftwater shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pederson keeping full guard, as Swiftwater tries to pass. Pederson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Swiftwater content to stall in guard here. Swiftwater is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pederson has momentary wrist control but Swiftwater slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pederson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Swiftwater.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pederson tries to clinch there but Swiftwater circles away.
Swiftwater slips a jab from Pederson. Swiftwater lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pederson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Swiftwater moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jeremy Pederson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Swiftwater misses with a straight left. Pederson misses the shot to the body. Pederson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Swiftwater moves out of range of the body kick. Pederson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Pederson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Pederson throws a series of punches but Swiftwater avoids them all with ease. Swiftwater shoots in and drives through. Pederson sprawls well. A combination from Pederson does no damage. Pederson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Swiftwater to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swiftwater with a nice head shot there. Swiftwater lands a couple of digs. Pederson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pederson wants to sweep but no luck. Pederson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pederson looks gassed! Pederson can't keep his opponent in guard - Swiftwater advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Swiftwater in particular looking to stall. Swiftwater is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pederson sees it coming and defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swiftwater seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ground and pound from Swiftwater. The fighters are battling for position here. Pederson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Swiftwater passes Pederson's left leg - he's now in half guard. Pederson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pederson wants to get back to full guard. Pederson is looking to control Swiftwater's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pederson avoid being mounted? Pederson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Swiftwater's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Swiftwater's back! Swiftwater tries to roll but Pederson sticks to his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swiftwater manages to escape to his feet. Pederson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Pederson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pederson. Pederson wants to clinch. Pederson walks into a straight right hand from Swiftwater. Jeremy Pederson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Swiftwater shoots in and bounces Pederson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Pederson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glenn Swiftwater dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Pederson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pederson has Swiftwater up against the cage in a clinch.
Swiftwater tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pederson smiles and moves away.
Pederson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pederson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Pederson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Swiftwater thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Swiftwater with a flurry of punches that miss. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pederson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Swiftwater has passed into side control.
Pederson can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swiftwater thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pederson tries to buck Swiftwater off but Swiftwater is having none of it. Swiftwater creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Pederson regains half guard. Pederson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Swiftwater pulls his head out easily. Pederson trying to hold on to Swiftwater's head to control him but Swiftwater postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pederson tries to get to full guard but Swiftwater has control of the leg.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Swiftwater avoids the head kick by Pederson.
Jeremy Pederson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Swiftwater shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pederson defends it nicely. Pederson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pederson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Swiftwater looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Swiftwater is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Swiftwater is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pederson is just riding it out for now. Swiftwater eventually gives up the hold. Swiftwater has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pederson trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Swiftwater putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swiftwater unloading with bombs! Swiftwater landing strikes, looking to finish! Swiftwater with a couple of short strikes. Pederson tries to reverse the position but Swiftwater maintains control. Swiftwater working away from the top, dropping strikes. Pederson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Swiftwater is landing with some decent strikes but Pederson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Pederson working to try and regain half guard.
Swiftwater is in the full mount, landing strikes. Swiftwater landing shots from mount. Pederson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Swiftwater landing strikes, looking to finish! Pederson regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glenn Swiftwater dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Swiftwater counters with a takedown into side control. Swiftwater works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Swiftwater wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pederson keeps working. Pederson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Glenn Swiftwater overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pederson manages to get back to half guard. Pederson wants to get back to full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Swiftwater is looking to take a break and control but Pederson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pederson is looking for a sweep. Swiftwater is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pederson missing with punches from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Swiftwater tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Swiftwater shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pederson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Swiftwater is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pederson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Pederson manages to get back to half guard.

Pederson is not content to let Swiftwater control the position. Pederson can't do much from the bottom here. Pederson is looking to regain half guard here but Swiftwater keeps moving and retains side control. Pederson holds on to Swiftwater's head and controls the position momentarily. Pederson is looking for a sweep. Swiftwater is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pederson has escaped the position, nice work there. Glenn Swiftwater is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pederson is trying to get back to half guard. Swiftwater is working Pederson over with some ground and pound from side control. The referee asks Swiftwater politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Swiftwater prefers to stall for the moment though. Pederson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Swiftwater connects with a decent elbow. Pederson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Swiftwater controls the position. Swiftwater has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Pederson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Swiftwater yanks on the arm and Pederson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Swiftwater.
