Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between CC Sabathia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Minemeyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minemeyer has chosen Space Lord by Monster Magnet as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Barry Minemeyer! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sabathia tries to clinch there but Minemeyer circles away.
Minemeyer swings for the body but Sabathia moves out of range.
Minemeyer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sabathia. Minemeyer avoids the body shot from Sabathia.
Sabathia shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Minemeyer is trying to defend but Sabathia finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sabathia is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Sabathia is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Minemeyer trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Minemeyer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sabathia kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. A lull in the action here.
I really don't envy Minemeyer right now.

Minemeyer closes the distance looking to clinch and Sabathia counters by clinching up. Minemeyer lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sabathia backwards. Minemeyer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Minemeyer misses with a takedown attempt - Sabathia sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. No luck for Sabathia with that takedown attempt. Sabathia takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Minemeyer looks to clinch and Sabathia counters with a shoot takedown. Minemeyer fights it but they end up in guard. Minemeyer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sabathia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Minemeyer is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Minemeyer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Minemeyer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sabathia is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Minemeyer, into his guard. Sabathia tries to free his leg and advance position but Minemeyer is retaining full guard. Sabathia passes easily into side control. Nice work. Minemeyer is looking to regain half guard here but Sabathia keeps moving and retains side control. Sabathia cracks Minemeyer with a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minemeyer is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Sabathia is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Sabathia tries to control but Minemeyer wriggling away. Sabathia landing strikes from the mount. Minemeyer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Minemeyer is trying desperately to improve position. Sabathia stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. The fight moves into the clinch position. Minemeyer throws a punch but it's blocked by Sabathia. Minemeyer is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sabathia gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. CC Sabathia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barry Minemeyer. Minemeyer looking to slow down the pace here. A head punch on the inside from Minemeyer fails to land. Minemeyer is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Minemeyer goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Minemeyer slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Minemeyer with the active half guard here but Sabathia passes nicely into side control. Sabathia thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Minemeyer struggling a bit here. Sabathia scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Minemeyer to see if he's OK.

Minemeyer is trying to control Sabathia's posture but Sabathia avoids it. Minemeyer tries to bench press Sabathia off him but Sabathia keeps the position. Sabathia lands a few punches from side control. Sabathia has knee on belly and moves into mount. Sabathia can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Minemeyer is looking to escape. Sabathia prevents Minemeyer from getting the reversal.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Minemeyer lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Minemeyer rushes Sabathia and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Sabathia tries to land knees in the clinch but Minemeyer avoids the damage to the body. Minemeyer is working Sabathia over against the cage. Sabathia is pressed up against the cage. Minemeyer has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sabathia down to the mat. Sabathia avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Sabathia fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barry Minemeyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Minemeyer throws a series of punches but Sabathia avoids them all with ease. Minemeyer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Minemeyer swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Sabathia bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sabathia avoids the strikes from the bottom by Minemeyer. CC Sabathia is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Minemeyer throws a few strikes from the bottom but Sabathia takes advantage and mounts!
And that's the end of the fight! CC Sabathia showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sabathia, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
