Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Bollea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Thaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terry Bollea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Thaker!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thaker misses with a takedown attempt - Bollea sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Thaker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bollea as he jumps to the side.

Thaker shoots in and bounces Bollea off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Thaker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Thaker is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bollea is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bollea has escaped and now he's on top!
Bollea is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bollea trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thaker being controlled here, momentarily.
Bollea seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Thaker for as long as he can get away with.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Thaker looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Terry Bollea just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Thaker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bollea but Bollea pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Terry Bollea has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Thaker.
Thaker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bollea swivels and escapes.
Thaker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Thaker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bollea is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Thaker defends well.
Bollea utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bollea is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bollea is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Thaker is controlling him.
Bollea looking to hit a scissor sweep but Thaker is one step ahead there.
Bollea will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thaker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Thaker shoots in for a takedown but Bollea shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bollea.
Thaker looks gassed!
Bollea controlling the position from side mount.
Bollea has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Thaker is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Terry Bollea dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Thaker with a poor takedown

and Bollea decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thaker's guard.
Bollea with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Bollea seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Thaker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bollea is one step ahead there.

Thaker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bollea doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bollea manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Thaker is breathing heavily.

Thaker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bollea is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bollea is stalling in the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Thaker tries for a takedown but Bollea circles away easily

and Bollea counters with a takedown into side control.
Bollea content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Bollea tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Bollea is looking to take a break and control but Thaker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bollea remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Bollea works to advance to full mount. Thaker defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Thaker doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bollea counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bollea.

Thaker is trying to get back to full guard.
Bollea is thwarting Thaker's attempts to control the position.
Thaker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Thaker is in trouble now - Bollea has advanced to mount!

Thaker is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bollea landing strikes, looking to finish!
Thaker tries to reverse the position but Bollea maintains control.
Thaker takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

and Bollea counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bollea knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thaker on the ground.
Bollea controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Bollea stands and steps away. Thaker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Thaker doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bollea counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thaker won't be happy with that.
Terry Bollea has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Thaker.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Bollea has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
