Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yrjo Pieru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Downey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Downey has chosen we didn't start the fire as his entrance music. Henry Downey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yrjo Pieru! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henry Downey! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pieru tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Downey swivels and escapes. Downey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pieru shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pieru was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pieru throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Pieru throws some wild stikes that Downey manages to avoid easily.
Pieru unloads with some shots from mount but Downey bucks and avoids them well.
Pieru cracks Downey with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Pieru has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pieru putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Pieru lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Pieru is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Downey to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Downey shrugs it off. Pieru looking to control but Downey is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Downey avoids a strike by Pieru and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Pieru's guard! Fantastic escape!
Downey is in close to Pieru's body, working some short punches and elbows. Pieru trying to strike off his back.
Pieru preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Downey throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Pieru wants to sweep here but Downey controlling him for the moment. Pieru bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Downey's guard. Downey keeping moving, preventing Pieru from controlling successfully. Pieru working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pieru postures up in Downey's guard and throws a big left but Downey blocks it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Downey pulls Pieru in close to prevent any damage. Pieru stops Downey from standing up. Downey working a defensive guard here.
Pieru trying to control the position from guard on top but Downey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pieru pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Downey is keeping the position for now.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Downey tries to close the distance and clinch but Pieru swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Pieru bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Downey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pieru. Pieru is looking to clinch. Downey cracks Pieru with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Yrjo Pieru has been cut. Henry Downey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pieru shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pieru showed some decent athleticism there.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Pieru thows a huge punch but Downey dodges it nicely.
Pieru trying to control the action but Downey is working from the bottom. The fighters are battling for position here. Downey manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Pieru won't allow Downey to sweep him here. Downey wants to get back to his feet but Pieru is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pieru lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Downey pushes Pieru off and gets back to his feet.
Downey darts in and out, connecting with a jab. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Yrjo Pieru dominated that round. The cut man is working on Yrjo Pieru's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Downey goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Downey wants to clinch
and Pieru counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Downey tries to kick Pieru off but Pieru keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Pieru is looking to advance position but Downey won't allow it. Pieru looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Downey with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pieru in particular looking to stall. Downey is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pieru scores with a couple of nice shots.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Pieru lands strikes from half guard. Pieru sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Downey defending well though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Downey wants to get back to his feet.
Downey trying to hold on to Pieru's head to control him but Pieru postures up.
Downey wants to improve his position but Pieru is controlling well.
Pieru wants to pass the guard but Downey is defending well. Pieru landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Pieru working the head and body with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pieru missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Pieru missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Downey looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Downey is not content to let Pieru control the position. Pieru winds up and cracks Downey with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Pieru trying to control the action but Downey is working from the bottom. The fighters are battling for position here. Downey manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Downey scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Downey clinches but Pieru breaks the clinch
and Pieru counters with a shoot takedown. Downey fights it but they end up in guard. Downey keeping moving, preventing Pieru from controlling successfully. Pieru loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pieru postures up.
Pieru trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pieru trying to control the position from guard on top but Downey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Pieru stops Downey from standing up. Pieru keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Downey's head. Pieru in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Downey pushes Pieru off and gets back to his feet.
Downey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Downey wants it to stay on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Downey throws an overhand right that lands on Pieru's shoulder, as Pieru tries to avoid the shot. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Yrjo Pieru dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Yrjo Pieru's cut. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Downey misses with a hook. Pieru is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pieru throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Downey's waist but Downey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pieru off to one side. Nice sprawl there from Downey as Pieru shoots in. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pieru fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yrjo Pieru. That's going to take a lot out of him. Downey missing with a left hand there. Pieru was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Pieru takes one to the chin there.

Pieru is rocked! Downey throws an overhand right that has Pieru reeling! Downey follows up with more punches and Pieru is out cold! This one is all over!
