Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Blasko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Garrett Greene!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene misses with a jab, cross combination.
Greene ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blasko moves away.
Blasko steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Greene.
Greene looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Blasko is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Greene.
Blasko rushes Greene and presses him up against the cage.
Blasko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Greene moves in looking to clinch but Blasko pushes him off.
Blasko keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Greene keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Greene shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blasko as he jumps to the side.
Decent striking displayed by Blasko there.
A combination from Greene does no damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blasko clobbers Greene with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Blasko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Blasko closes the distance looking to clinch
and Greene holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Greene wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Greene wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Blasko has him pressed against the cage.
Greene wants to get back to striking at distance but Blasko won't allow it.
Greene misses with an elbow over the top.
Greene is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Greene jumps guard and drags Blasko to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Greene bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blasko's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Greene drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blasko looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blasko looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blasko!
Blasko wants to stand but Greene has his arm trapped.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Greene is trying to strike from the bottom but Blasko has passed into full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Greene is working to get back to half guard.
Greene is squirming around, avoiding Blasko's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Greene regains half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Blasko trying to control the action but Greene is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Blasko dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Greene throws a right and a left that Blasko avoids nicely.
Blasko looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Greene tries to clinch up
and Blasko counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Greene moves into the clinch successfully.
Blasko throws an elbow but it misses.
Greene breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Blasko throws a left and a right that both miss
and Greene counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Greene is pushing down on Blasko's leg trying to pass to half guard. Blasko is fighting to maintain full guard but Greene has managed to sneak the leg through.
Blasko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Greene on the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Greene missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Greene working the head and body with strikes.
Blasko is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Greene's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Greene's back!
Blasko keeps control of the position as Greene tries to break free.
Greene manages to reverse the position and now he's in Blasko's guard. Nice work there by Greene.
Greene stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blasko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Greene postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Blasko is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Greene, into his guard.
Blasko wants to stand but Greene has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Greene looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Blasko is defending well. Greene quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Blasko has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Greene celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Garrett Greene!
