Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Jackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Jackman! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackman closes the distance and clinches up with Thomas, looking for a takedown. Jackman pushes Thomas against the cage but Thomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jackman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thomas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackman somewhat. Jackman looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jackman stopping the sweep attempt from Thomas. Thomas working for a triangle but Jackman defends it easily.
Thomas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackman manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thomas trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas looking to pass the guard. Thomas stands up and waves to Jackman to follow him. Thomas fails with a takedown attempt. Jackman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thomas's half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jackman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Jackman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thomas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackman performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jackman lands a nice short elbow. Jackman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thomas is just riding it out for now. Jackman eventually gives up the hold. Thomas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackman's back! Jackman is trying to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas is looking to control Jackman but Jackman is wriggling around and keeping busy. Thomas avoiding Jackman 's attempts to control his hands. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thomas lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Thomas is not going to allow Jackman to sit and survive in this position. Oooh a big shot gets through from Thomas. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Thomas controlling the position well here. Jackman rolled but Thomas kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Jackman lands with a slapping head kick. Jackman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Thomas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackman is working away from the top position though. Jackman wants to get back to his feet.
Jackman is breathing heavily. Thomas makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Jackman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thomas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thomas tries to clinch up. The fight stays on the outside here - Jackman looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Thomas has his takedown stuffed and Jackman counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jackman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackman tries to free his leg and advance position but Thomas is retaining full guard. Jackman is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Thomas lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackman! Thomas pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackman is squirming around, avoiding Thomas's attempts to control the action. Thomas landing punches. Jackman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Thomas with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas wants to control the pace but Jackman is squirming around nicely. Jackman really wants to buck Thomas off and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Thomas gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Thomas misses with a takedown attempt and Jackman counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Thomas! Jackman prevents Thomas from getting the reversal. Jackman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Thomas is looking to escape. Jackman throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Thomas slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Jackman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Thomas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Jackman stuffs the takedown attempt from Thomas. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet. Jackman tries to clinch there but Thomas circles away.
Thomas fails with the takedown and Jackman counters with a head kick. That will keep Thomas thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Jackman misses with a wild combination.

Nice combination. Jackman scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Jackman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thomas avoids it really well and circles away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jackman blocks a head kick by Thomas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackman feints and as Thomas raises his hands in defense, Jackman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jackman throwing strikes from guard but Thomas blocks nicely. Thomas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Thomas lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackman! Adam Jackman has got the better of the ground game so far. Thomas landing strikes, looking to finish! Thomas throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas looking to finish with strikes here!
Thomas trying to control but Jackman is having none of it. Thomas controlling from mount. Thomas connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Jackman regains half guard. Jackman is controlling Thomas's trapped leg to prevent Thomas from advancing to side control. Jackman pushes Thomas off looking to stand but Thomas dives back in and keeps control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jackman can't do much from the bottom here. Thomas decides to take the fight back to the feet. Jackman misses with a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Jackman or perhaps it was just good defense by Thomas which made him look bad. Jackman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thomas sprawls well. Thomas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackman gets slowly back to his feet. James Thomas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Adam Jackman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Thomas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Jackman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jackman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
