Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ares Mars (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrell Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mars changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Mars manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mars misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Johnson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mars looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Johnson lands some shots froms side control.
Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mars keeps working.
Mars manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ares Mars has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terrell Johnson.

Mars fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Johnson.

Mars jumps guard and drags Johnson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

and Mars counters with a body kick that stops Johnson in his tracks momentarily.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Johnson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mars is working to get back to half guard.

Johnson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Mars is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Mars tries to hold on but Johnson postures up.
Johnson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mars is surviving well by controlling Johnson's body position as best he can.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Mars slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Johnson seems to be looking for submissions.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ares Mars will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mars tries to escape but Johnson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Johnson controlling the positon.
And that's the end of the fight!
Ares Mars showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mars, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
