The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hartley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Man's guard.
Man is looking for a triangle but Hartley pushes his legs off easily.
Hartley wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.
Hartley slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Man is looking for a sweep.
Man prevents Hartley from moving into mount.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Man accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Man must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Man seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Josh Hartley will probably get the nod.
