Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Obadiah Jebadiah Ordway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ordway comes to the cage accompanied by Why Can't We Be Friends?. Hanson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Darker Side of Me by The Veer Union. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ordway was covering up waiting for the punch and Hanson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ordway escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hanson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hanson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ordway is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Ordway has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hanson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ordway.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Ordway drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ordway jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That was a close round but I would say that Obadiah Jebadiah Ordway will probably get the nod.
