2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vitor Belfort! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Belfort.
Belfort throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beta. Belfort misses with a few strikes there.
Beta tries to clinch up but Belfort circles away and keeps his distance. Belfort misses with a series of wild punches.

Belfort looks to land a combination but Beta avoids it well. Beta moves into the clinch. Belfort is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Beta lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Beta is pushing Belfort up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Vitor Belfort has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Belfort is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Beta pulls him back up using the underhooks. Dog Beta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vitor Belfort. Beta using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Belfort has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Belfort has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Beta avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Belfort looking for a takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! Dog Beta showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Beta, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
