The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peppers slaps away a takedown attempt from Watkins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Watkins looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Peppers throws a quick inside leg kick.
Peppers is looking to slow Watkins down with leg kicks.
Peppers digs a good body shot into Watkins's ribs.
Peppers cracks the inside of Watkins's front leg.
Watkins takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Watkins takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Peppers scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Watkins doesn't seem bothered though.

Peppers throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Watkins on the side of the head.

Watkins shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Watkins is still on wobbly legs! Can Peppers finish him?
Julius Peppers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peppers throws a pinpoint strike between Watkins's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Watkins crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Peppers scores a great knockout victory!
