The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones is looking to clinch but Bantam is avoiding it.

Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bantam tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bantam to the ground. Bantam escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bantam.
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bantam avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Bantam backing up. Bantam nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Bantam will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jones has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bantam uses from the top position.

Jones is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Bantam frees his head nicely. Oh but Jones has switched to an armbar! Bantam is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
