Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack O Neill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Mayhem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Mayhem will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack O Neill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Mayhem! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Neill drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mayhem looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! The strikes coming from O Neill are missing the target in this wave of attacks. O Neill scoring with punches and elbows. O Neill looks up at the clock and then as Mayhem takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, O Neill smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
O Neill lands some shots froms side control. O Neill throws an elbow but Mayhem slips to the side and avoids it well. O Neill lands an elbow. O Neill controlling from side mount. O Neill cracks Mayhem with a big right hand but Mayhem just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Mayhem is letting O Neill control him for a moment. Mayhem taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Neill in side control, just content to control the action for now. O Neill lands a nice forearm strike. O Neill landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. O Neill looks up at the clock and then as Mayhem takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, O Neill smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayhem takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Mayhem takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. O Neill is working Mayhem over with some ground and pound from side control. O Neill scores with punches from side control. O Neill works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. O Neill prevents Mayhem from escaping the position. Mayhem taking punishment in the form of punches.
O Neill creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. O Neill looks up at the clock and then as Mayhem takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, O Neill smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Mayhem pushes O Neill away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, O Neill gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. O Neill tries to score with some ground and pound. Mayhem controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. O Neill shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mayhem manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. O Neill passes into half guard. Mayhem is trying to stand back up but O Neill is controlling him

That's four minutes gone in the round. O Neill looks to score some points with some ground and pound. O Neill is looking to take a break and control but Mayhem is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. O Neill prevents Mayhem from standing back up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mayhem misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marcus Mayhem is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. O Neill avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mayhem stuffs the takedown attempt from O Neill. O Neill gets slowly back to his feet. Mayhem misses with a leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack O Neill dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Mayhem stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mayhem wants it to stay on the feet. O Neill moves out of range of the body kick. Mayhem slaps away a takedown attempt from O Neill, before circling back to the center of the mat. O Neill looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. O Neill prevents Mayhem from standing back up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mayhem regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from O Neill. O Neill loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Neill with a flurry of punches that miss. O Neill trying to control the position from guard on top but Mayhem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. O Neill working some strikes from top position. O Neill trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Mayhem tries to clinch up but O Neill circles away and keeps his distance. O Neill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mayhem is fending him off so far but O Neill persists. Nope, Mayhem circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack O Neill. That's going to take a lot out of him. O Neill throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mayhem was covering up waiting for the punch and O Neill finishes the takedown easily into guard. O Neill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. O Neill postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

O Neill loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. O Neill trying to control but Mayhem is working from the bottom. Mayhem wants to get back to his feet but O Neill is in a dominant position and won't allow it. O Neill throwing strikes but missing. O Neill trying to control the position from guard on top but Mayhem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. O Neill throwing strikes but missing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mayhem fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
O Neill bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. O Neill in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Mayhem is looking to work his way out of this bad position but O Neill is controlling him well. Jack O Neill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. O Neill is putting a hurting on Mayhem here, landing some big shots from side control. O Neill scoring with punches and elbows. Mayhem is not in a great position here, taking some shots. O Neill creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mayhem sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. O Neill lands an elbow. O Neill working the strikes but Mayhem uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Mayhem regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from O Neill.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. O Neill with a flurry of punches that miss. O Neill in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mayhem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. O Neill circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mayhem gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. O Neill looking to sit in guard and control but Mayhem gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack O Neill dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
O Neill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mayhem tries to avoid it but O Neill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mayhem to the ground. Mayhem escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Mayhem is looking to clinch. Mayhem tries to clinch but O Neill moves out of range. O Neill drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. O Neill lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mayhem down.
Mayhem takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Mayhem is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but O Neill has just dragged him back down to the mat. O Neill working the head with strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mayhem is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Check out the look on O Neill's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
O Neill tries to move into full mount but can't pass Mayhem's legs. Mayhem parries the strikes from O Neill easily there. O Neill is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mayhem to escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mayhem tries to clinch but O Neill is having none of it. Mayhem has closed the distance and engaged O Neill in a clinch.
O Neill is working for takedown but Mayhem is calmly controlling the position for now. Mayhem gets underhooks to prevent O Neill's takedown attempt.

O Neill is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mayhem to escape.
O Neill wants to take a breather but Mayhem manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for O Neill.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Mayhem avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mayhem is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst O Neill is controlling him. O Neill landing some decent shots from guard. O Neill pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mayhem is keeping the position for now. Marcus Mayhem has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jack O Neill is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. O Neill shoots in but no luck this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack O Neill showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for O Neill, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
