Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Juan Sheet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonidas Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonidas Castro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Sheet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leonidas Castro! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castro checks a low kick from Sheet. Castro shoots in but Sheet avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sheet scores with a takedown into Castro's guard. Sheet wants to pass the guard but Castro is keeping the position. Sheet stays in close to Castro's body and controls the position. Sheet throws a strike but Castro rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Castro working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sheet looking for a sweep. Not yet Sheet, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castro throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sheet works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sheet controlling Castro's posture. Sheet preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Castro throwing strikes but missing. Sheet working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Castro.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sheet shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Castro napping and manages to drive through into side control! Sheet prevents Castro from escaping the position. Sheet will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Castro defending against the ground and pound. Castro is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sheet's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castro regains full guard. Nicely done. Sheet sitting in guard, not really doing much. Sheet wants to stand and escape but instead Castro has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Sheet working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Castro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Castro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Castro in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sheet wants to sweep here but Castro controlling him for the moment. Castro with a flurry of punches that miss. Castro trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sheet keeping moving, preventing Castro from controlling successfully.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sheet looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Castro looks gassed! Castro manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Castro prevents Sheet from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Castro throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Sheet because Castro loaded up on that one. Sheet tries to lock up and control but Castro gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sheet knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Castro on the ground. Sheet wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Castro.
You get the feeling that Sheet really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Castro misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Sheet really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sheet avoids a series of strikes thrown by Castro.
Sheet wants to control but Castro is having none of it. Sheet is working to get back to half guard.

Juan Sheet dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Sheet moves into range and clinches up with Castro. A short right from Castro. Castro pushes off an throws an elbow but Sheet leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Sheet works on Castro's body with a couple of short punches. Castro lands a damaging elbow. Castro comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Sheet avoids a wild elbow strike from Castro. Castro throws an elbow that misses.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Castro just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sheet's brow. Castro lands an elbow inside. Nice elbow from Castro. Sheet is trying to force a seperation but Castro has the dominant position. Sheet tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Castro just stands there and leans against the cage. Sheet stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Castro misses with a hook from the clinch. Sheet dodges an elbow strike from Castro.
Sheet looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sheet tries for a takedown. No joy.
Castro pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Castro is breathing heavily. Castro lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Castro lands with a short shot to the head. Sheet is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juan Sheet. That's going to take a lot out of him. Castro pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Castro just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sheet's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice glancing elbow lands by Castro. Sheet is working for takedown but Castro is calmly controlling the position for now. Sheet jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Castro walks away with a smile on his face. Sheet gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sheet shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Castro is trying to defend but Sheet finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Castro is looking for a sweep. Sheet is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sheet is looking for a kimura here.
Castro is doing well to control the position and prevent Sheet from advancing to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castro is looking for a sweep. Sheet is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sheet looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Still in half guard, Sheet seems content to control. Sheet throwing shots but Castro is blocking nicely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sheet finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Castro blocks a head kick by Sheet.
Castro with a lazy takedown attempt and Sheet counters with a takedown into side control. Sheet looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sheet is looking to take a break and control but Castro is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Castro can't do much from the bottom here. Sheet tries to move to mount but Castro blocks the move with his legs. Sheet lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Sheet dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Sheet gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sheet seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Sheet wants to free his trapped foot but Castro is holding on for dear life with his legs. Castro gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sheet trying to control but Castro is working from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Castro pulls Sheet in to control the position. Sheet slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Sheet looking to pass the guard. Sheet not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Juan Sheet overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sheet looking to pass the guard. Sheet trying to control the position from guard on top but Castro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Castro trying to keep a closed guard but Sheet is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sheet content to stall in guard here. Castro tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Castro has a closed guard, preventing Sheet from standing up. Sheet has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sheet looking to pass the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Castro with a lazy takedown attempt and Sheet counters with a straight right hand. Sheet changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Castro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Castro is looking for a sweep. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Leonidas Castro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Juan Sheet is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sheet decides to take the fight back to the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Juan Sheet showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sheet, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
