Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dule Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeff Ackeroffer!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ackeroffer lands a jab to the head.

Peterson clinches with his opponent.

Peterson jumps guard.
Ackeroffer tries to stand but Peterson is controlling from the bottom.

Peterson manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ackeroffer scores with a three punch combo!
Peterson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Peterson connects with a high kick.


It looks like Jeff Ackeroffer has been cut.
Ackeroffer misses with a body shot
and Peterson counters with a body kick that stops Ackeroffer in his tracks momentarily.
A head kick misses from Ackeroffer.
Peterson closes the distance and clinches up with Ackeroffer, looking for a takedown. Peterson pushes Ackeroffer against the cage but Ackeroffer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Peterson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ackeroffer but Ackeroffer pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Peterson throws a series of punches but Ackeroffer moves out of range.
Peterson fails to land with a series of punches.

Peterson gets a takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ackeroffer wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peterson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peterson is trying to work for a kimura but Ackeroffer is defending well.
Ackeroffer is trying to stand back up but Peterson is controlling him

Peterson decides to return to a standing position.
Peterson is breathing heavily.
Ackeroffer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Peterson gets a clinch.
Peterson jumps guard but Ackeroffer stands there with Peterson around his waist. Peterson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dule Peterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ackeroffer wants to break free but Peterson has control.

Ackeroffer unloads a knee to the mid-section. Peterson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Peterson tries to pull guard but Ackeroffer holds him up against the cage and eventually Peterson drops back down to his feet.
Peterson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Peterson can't get the takedown.

Peterson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Ackeroffer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Peterson is working for takedown but Ackeroffer is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ackeroffer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Peterson prevents Ackeroffer from breaking the clinch.
Nice body punch from Peterson.
Peterson working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Peterson pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peterson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Peterson looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Ackeroffer is defending well. Peterson quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Ackeroffer has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Peterson celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dule Peterson!
