Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paavali Pietari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Caruso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paavali Pietari! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Benny Caruso! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caruso bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Caruso stands up. Pietari really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pietari misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Pietari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Caruso moves away. Caruso shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Caruso was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Caruso tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Pietari knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Caruso on the ground. Let's hope that Caruso has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caruso avoids the attempt from Pietari to control. Caruso stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Caruso feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pietari wants to hit a switch here but Caruso passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pietari there! Pietari really wants to buck Caruso off and get back to his feet. Caruso manages to capitalize on a mistake by Pietari to take his back! Caruso gets his hands free as Pietari looks to control. Caruso keeps control of the position as Pietari tries to break free.
What can Pietari do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pietari holding both Caruso 's hands and preventing any damage. Caruso gets his hands free as Pietari looks to control. Pietari defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Caruso's arms. Caruso looks gassed! Pietari wants to get back to his feet. Pietari wants to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pietari turns into Caruso and is now in his guard.
Caruso preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pietari throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Caruso wants to clinch up but Pietari keeps it at a distance. Pietari tries a head kick but it misses.
A punch combination from Caruso misses. A head kick misses from Pietari. Caruso explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Caruso is looking to clinch but Pietari is avoiding it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Pietari delivers a nice body kick. Caruso shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pietari is trying to defend but Caruso finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Caruso passes into side control, despite Pietari's attempt to control the position.
Pietari is working to avoid the ground and pound but Caruso connects with a decent elbow. Pietari throws Caruso to one side and escapes! Caruso blocks a head kick by Pietari.
Pietari misses with a takedown attempt and Caruso counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pietari! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Caruso looking to isolate an arm here. Pietari doesn't see it coming and as Caruso extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Caruso!
