Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Mccaughan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell's entrance music is It's Dark and Hell Is Hot. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell cracks Mccaughan with a right hand to the side of the head. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Liddell.
A leg kick checked by Mccaughan. Liddell pushes Mccaughan up against the cage in a clinch. Liddell wants a takedown.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Liddell as Mccaughan tries to tie him up. Mccaughan can't find room to land a body shot as Liddell controls the action.
Liddell drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mccaughan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mccaughan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Liddell just stands there and leans against the cage. Mccaughan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mccaughan manages to end up in side control. Mccaughan decides to stand back up. Mccaughan steps back and let's Liddell get back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Liddell scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mccaughan doesn't seem bothered though. A good leg kick by Liddell. Liddell jabs at Mccaughan's body. Mccaughan looks gassed! Mccaughan slips a straight right by Liddell. Liddell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mccaughan. Mccaughan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell punishes Mccaughan's body with a nice straight punch. Liddell is looking to clinch but Mccaughan is avoiding it.
Liddell misses with a two punch combination.
Liddell leaves Mccaughan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Chuck Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Mccaughan. Liddell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mccaughan thows a body shot but no joy. Mccaughan slips a jab and a cross from Liddell.
Liddell throws a head kick that half lands.
Mccaughan walks into a straight right hand from Liddell. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mccaughan is defended easily by Liddell. Liddell cracks Mccaughan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Liddell stuffs the takedown attempt from Mccaughan. Mccaughan gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mccaughan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A kick lands to the mid section there for Liddell. Liddell lands a left and a right that send Mccaughan crashing to the mat, dazed. Liddell thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Mccaughan is rocked!
It looks like Eric Mccaughan has been cut. Liddell feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mccaughan's calf. Liddell cracks Mccaughan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Mccaughan is still on wobbly legs! Can Liddell finish him? Liddell throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Mccaughan seems to have recovered his senses. Liddell lands with a kick to the temple. Mccaughan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Liddell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Liddell tries to land a front kick but Mccaughan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Liddell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mccaughan is fending him off so far but Liddell persists. Nope, Mccaughan circles away and we're back to standing. Mccaughan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mccaughan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Liddell. Mccaughan shoots for a double leg takedown but Liddell sprawls well. He's pushed Mccaughan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Liddell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mccaughan, pushing him back against the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, Mccaughan throws an elbow but misses. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Liddell can't break the clinch.
Liddell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mccaughan blocks it with crossed arms. Mccaughan jumps guard.
Liddell wants to control from the top but Mccaughan keeps moving. Liddell wants to pass the guard but Mccaughan is keeping the position. Mccaughan looking for a sweep. Not yet Mccaughan, not yet. Liddell has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mccaughan looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccaughan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Liddell defends well. Liddell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mccaughan keeping moving, preventing Liddell from controlling successfully. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Liddell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mccaughan swats away the attempt to clinch by Liddell. Nice takedown defense from Mccaughan. No joy for Liddell on that attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chuck Liddell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Eric Mccaughan's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mccaughan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side. Mccaughan fails with a takedown attempt. Liddell scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Liddell lands a nice shot to the body.
Mccaughan takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Liddell wants to clinch. Mccaughan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liddell but Liddell pushes him off and we're back to square one. Chuck Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Mccaughan. Liddell wants to clinch. Liddell just misses with a punch to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Liddell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mccaughan gets a takedown into half guard. Liddell wants to control but Mccaughan is keeping busy.
It looks like Mccaughan is going to stand back up.
Mccaughan is looking to take a break and control but Liddell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mccaughan not landing any meaningful shots this time. Mccaughan passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Liddell bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Liddell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mccaughan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Liddell has managed to get both his arms back between Mccaughan's legs - danger averted. Liddell wants to control from the top but Mccaughan keeps moving. Liddell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Mccaughan has control of Liddell's left arm, preventing Liddell from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chuck Liddell dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Eric Mccaughan's cut. That's time! Liddell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Mccaughan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddell pinned against the cage. Liddell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Liddell is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Liddell moves into range and clinches up with Mccaughan. Mccaughan wants a takedown but no success here.

Liddell is working for takedown but Mccaughan is calmly controlling the position for now. Mccaughan unloads a knee to the mid-section. Liddell lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Liddell throws an elbow but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mccaughan pushes off an throws an elbow but Liddell leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mccaughan misses with an elbow over the top. Mccaughan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Liddell fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Chuck Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Mccaughan. Liddell connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell stuns Mccaughan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Liddell bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Liddell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mccaughan circles away quickly and effectively. No luck for Mccaughan with that takedown attempt. Liddell feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mccaughan's calf. Chuck Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liddell has Mccaughan up against the cage in a clinch.
Liddell jumps guard but Mccaughan stands there with Liddell around his waist. Liddell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Liddell is pressed up against the cage. Mccaughan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Liddell down to the mat. Liddell avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Liddell works Mccaughan's body with a nice hook. Liddell works over Mccaughan's head and body with a nice combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Liddell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Liddell lands a head kick!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jab, jab by Liddell - just one landing. Chuck Liddell is winning the standup battle so far. Mccaughan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mccaughan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Liddell sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Mccaughan tries to advance to mount but Liddell denies him. Liddell is not content to let Mccaughan control the position. Mccaughan is trying to get an arm triangle but Liddell is defending well. Mccaughan tries to advance position but instead Liddell slips a leg back in to half guard. Eric Mccaughan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chuck Liddell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell is doing well to control the position and prevent Mccaughan from advancing to side control. Mccaughan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Liddell avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mccaughan. Mccaughan is trying to control the action in half guard but Liddell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mccaughan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Liddell not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mccaughan has gone for a leg lock! Liddell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mccaughan's guard. Liddell advances position into side control! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mccaughan tries to improve position but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Chuck Liddell showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Liddell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
