And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Coraje Rage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Starwin is defended easily by Rage.
A head kick from Rage lands but Starwin takes it in his stride.

Starwin wants to control but Rage is keeping busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Starwin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Starwin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rage stacks Starwin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rage!

Rage wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Starwin, who protects the arm well.

Rage looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Starwin is avoiding damage well.
Starwin regains half guard there - taking advantage of Rage's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Rage decides to stand and escape the position.
Coraje Rage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Rage counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Coraje Rage has got the better of the ground game so far.

Starwin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rage doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rage manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rage not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Nice sprawl there from Starwin as Rage shoots in.

Starwin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Starwin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rage has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Starwin but great work by Rage.

Rage decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Rage wants to clinch but Starwin slips to the side

Starwin fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rage is pressed up against the cage. Starwin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rage down to the mat. Rage avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Rage counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Starwin thinking.

Rage shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rage can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Starwin is looking to escape.
Rage controlling the pace for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

You can see the frustration on Starwin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Coraje Rage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rage has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
