Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between paulo figari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Choke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). figari comes to the cage accompanied by Detroit Rock CIty. Choke has chosen Birdman - 4 My Town Instrumental as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choke wants to clinch.
figari could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Choke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with figari but figari pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Choke closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming figari to the mat! figari manages to get full guard.

Choke trying to control the position from guard on top but figari is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Choke throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Choke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

figari wants to sweep but no luck.
figari throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
figari throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Choke swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and figari counters with a single leg into guard. Choke didn't expect that.
figari wanted to stand there but Choke had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Choke manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. figari manages to get himself to full guard.

Choke wants to control from the top but figari keeps moving.
Choke slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Choke chips away with some ground and pound.

figari is breathing heavily.
Choke stands up and waves to figari to follow him.
Choke fails with the takedown
and figari counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Choke goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

paulo figari has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rico Choke.

Choke moves into full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
figari tries to stand but Choke is controlling from the bottom.
Choke keeping moving, preventing figari from controlling successfully.
Choke bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in figari's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Choke stands up from figari's guard - Choke perhaps looking for a knockout.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rico Choke will probably get the nod.

figari tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Choke distracts figari with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Choke gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

paulo figari is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Choke shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and figari counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Choke looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Choke controlling the position for now.
Choke slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Choke pulls figari in close to his closed guard and prevents figari from doing any damage or advancing position.

Choke is looking to sinch up a triangle. figari throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Choke's body to avoid the submission. Choke has instead reached around figari's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Choke arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
