The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Hoodijonk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lock sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Van Hoodijonk somewhat.
Van Hoodijonk fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lock avoids it really well and circles away.
Lock slaps away a takedown attempt from Van Hoodijonk, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lucas Lock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Van Hoodijonk.
Van Hoodijonk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Van Hoodijonk tries to close the distance and clinch but Lock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Van Hoodijonk misses with a takedown attempt - Lock sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Van Hoodijonk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lock could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lock misses with a wild combination.
Lock shoots in but Van Hoodijonk avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Van Hoodijonk is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Van Hoodijonk wants to hold on but Lock pushes him away.
Lock wants to control the pace but Van Hoodijonk is squirming around nicely.
Lock breaks from Van Hoodijonk's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Van Hoodijonk wants to control but Lock is having none of it.
Van Hoodijonk is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lock can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Van Hoodijonk is looking to escape.
Lock unloads with some shots from mount but Van Hoodijonk bucks and avoids them well.
Lock looking to control but Van Hoodijonk is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Lock throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Van Hoodijonk because Lock loaded up on that one.
Lock tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lock trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Lock misses with a head shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Van Hoodijonk is wriggling around trying to escape.
Van Hoodijonk looks gassed!
Lock throwing strikes here but Van Hoodijonk is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Lock is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Van Hoodijonk's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Van Hoodijonk's back!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Lock has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Van Hoodijonk has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lock keeps control of the position easily here as Van Hoodijonk tries to buck him off.
Lock has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Van Hoodijonk! Can he survive? No! He's out! Lock gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
