Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robb Spewak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spewak's entrance music is The German National Anthem. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robb Spewak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Spewak.
A looping hook to the body misses from Spewak. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet. Spewak thows a body shot but no joy. Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Spewak shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Spewak misses with a looping right. Spewak closes the distance and lands a one-two. Gracie looks for a takedown but Spewak sprawls well. Spewak stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet. Robb Spewak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royce Gracie.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spewak scores with a hook to the body. Gracie takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gracie. Spewak throws a nice outside leg kick. Spewak swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nice body punch from Spewak. Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Spewak sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Robb Spewak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spewak is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Spewak circles away and we're back to standing. Spewak fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gracie manages to avoid it. Spewak swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spewak loads up on a big right hand but Gracie slips the punch. Spewak misses with a wild body shot. Robb Spewak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Spewak misses with a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spewak is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Spewak circles away and we're back to standing. Spewak thows a body shot but no joy. Spewak connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spewak sprawls well. Spewak wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet. Spewak fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gracie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robb Spewak dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Spewak throws a hook to the side of Gracie's head but Gracie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A telegraphed right hand from Spewak misses the target. Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Spewak shows good takedown defense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spewak throws a jab when Gracie was well out of range. Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spewak tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spewak to the ground. Spewak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Robb Spewak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royce Gracie.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie on the wrong end of a nice hook. Spewak ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Spewak swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Spewak keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Royce Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Spewak but Spewak pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spewak as he avoids it easily. Gracie on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Spewak tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. An inside leg kick lands from Spewak. Gracie takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Gracie is breathing heavily. Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Gracie drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Gracie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Spewak. Spewak throws a body punch but Gracie moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Spewak misses. Spewak feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gracie's calf. Spewak misses with a few strikes there.
Spewak connects with a body shot. Gracie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spewak moves away. Spewak connects with a looping right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robb Spewak dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Spewak lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Spewak lands with a nice body punch. Gracie throws a predictable looking body shot
and Spewak connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Gracie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A left and a right from Spewak both land. Nice combination. Spewak moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spewak lands a with a good body shot. A shot to the body from Spewak misses and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control. Spewak is trying to improve his position. Spewak is working hard here to advance position. Gracie grinds an elbow into Spewak's temple. Spewak is trying to improve his position. Gracie postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Spewak tries to get back to half guard but can't. Spewak regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Spewak is defending well.
Spewak tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg. Gracie stops Spewak from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Spewak avoids the head kick by Gracie.
Gracie with a poor takedown and Spewak counters with a nice leg kick. Spewak lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spewak waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gracie. Nice jab there from Spewak. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt and Spewak counters with a nice body shot. Gracie is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Spewak throws a body punch but Gracie moves out of range. A cross from Spewak lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spewak throws a jab but it's blocked by Gracie. Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spewak.
Royce Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Spewak moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Spewak ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Spewak counters with a nice body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Robb Spewak showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Spewak, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
