The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wanov misses with a body shot.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wanov as he jumps to the side.
A combination from Wanov does no damage.
Gracie misses with a hook.
Gracie takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wanov sprawls well. Wanov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

It looks like Randsome Gracie has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie drops his hands momentarily and Wanov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gracie takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Wanov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gracie to the mat! Gracie manages to get full guard.

Gracie can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wanov controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wanov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gracie kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Wanov is working Gracie over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wanov forces his way into half guard.
Wanov tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gracie has hold of Wanov's hands but Wanov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Wanov is nestled in close to Gracie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Wanov stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Gracie to get to his feet.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gracie. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Wanov lands a nice shot to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wanov throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wanov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wanov has gone for a leg lock! Gracie slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wanov's guard.

Gracie is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wanov has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wanov!

Well Wanov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
