Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Karpinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Ruska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Ruska! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karpinov tries to clinch but Ruska moves out of range. Karpinov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ruska scores with the left hand. Karpinov knows he should have avoided that one. Ruska lands the left hand. Ruska lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Karpinov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ruska paws at him with a jab and circles away. Karpinov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Ruska takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ruska throws a looping overhand right but Karpinov ducks down to avoid it. Ruska clinches up with Karpinov and pushes him back against the cage. Nice body punch from Ruska. Ruska gets underhooks to prevent Karpinov's takedown attempt.

Ruska decides to stand and escape the position. Karpinov closes the distance looking to clinch and Ruska counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Karpinov tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ruska counters with a straight right hand. Karpinov wants to clinch and Ruska decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Karpinov's guard. Ruska stands and steps away. Karpinov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ruska connects with a solid leg kick. Karpinov misses with a straight right. Piotr Karpinov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ruska rushes Karpinov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. It looks like Piotr Karpinov has been cut. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Karpinov just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ruska's brow. Ruska lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Ruska scores with a shoulder strike. Karpinov misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ruska.
Karpinov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ruska is defending well for now. Ruska avoids a wild elbow strike from Karpinov.

Karpinov is rocked! Ruska lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Oh Karpinov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! An uppercut to the body lands inside from Ruska. Karpinov creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. A short left from Ruska. Ruska lands a big knee! That's hurt Karpinov! Oh, he's all over the place! Ruska lands another knee that sends Karpinov to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
