Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernardo Vieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charles Ribeiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bernardo Vieri! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ribeiro has closed the distance and engaged Vieri in a clinch.
Ribeiro could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ribeiro manages to break the clinch.
Ribeiro fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vieri sprawls well initially but Ribeiro persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Vieri trying to control here.
Ribeiro seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Vieri wants to improve his position but Ribeiro is controlling well.
Still in half guard, Ribeiro seems content to control. Vieri is trying to control but can't.
Vieri pushes Ribeiro off looking to stand but Ribeiro dives back in and keeps control.
Vieri is looking to control Ribeiro's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vieri avoid being mounted? Ribeiro works his way into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro decides to take the fight back to the feet. Vieri throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Ribeiro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Vieri fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Vieri shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ribeiro sprawls well. Ribeiro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vieri gets slowly back to his feet. Ribeiro tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vieri swivels and escapes. Ribeiro is breathing heavily. Vieri pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vieri shoots in for a double leg but Ribeiro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Charles Ribeiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bernardo Vieri. Vieri misses with a takedown and Ribeiro counters with a shoot takedown. Vieri fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vieri not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ribeiro is taking a breather. Vieri says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ribeiro prevents Vieri from improving his position. Ribeiro is nestled in close to Vieri, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ribeiro stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Vieri to get to his feet. Ribeiro lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Ribeiro is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Vieri tries to clinch there but Ribeiro circles away.

Ribeiro moves in looking to clinch but Vieri pushes him off. Charles Ribeiro is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ribeiro tries to clinch there but Vieri circles away.
Ribeiro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vieri avoids it really well and circles away. Vieri stuffs the takedown. Ribeiro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Ribeiro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vieri has his takedown stuffed and Ribeiro counters with a single leg into guard. Vieri didn't expect that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vieri escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ribeiro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Vieri doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Vieri wants to stand up but Ribeiro is controlling him. Ribeiro looking to pass the guard. Charles Ribeiro overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Vieri is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vieri has a closed guard, preventing Ribeiro from standing up. Ribeiro won't allow Vieri to sweep him here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ribeiro tries to clinch up. Ribeiro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vieri's guard. Ribeiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Vieri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ribeiro throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ribeiro decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A slapping body kick lands there for Ribeiro. Vieri keeps the fight on the outside. Vieri bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ribeiro misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ribeiro tries to clinch but Vieri moves out of range. Vieri wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Vieri misses with a takedown attempt and Ribeiro counters with a thumping low kick. Ribeiro is looking to clinch. Ribeiro looks to clinch and Vieri counters by moving into the clinch. Vieri has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ribeiro is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ribeiro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ribeiro fails to land the takedown. Vieri throws a sloppy head kick and Ribeiro counters with a shoot takedown. Vieri fights it but they end up in guard. Ribeiro tries to free his leg and advance position but Vieri is retaining full guard. Vieri is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ribeiro trying to control from the bottom.

Vieri stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vieri wants it to stay on the feet. Vieri throws a right hand that Ribeiro ducks under and follows up with a left that Ribeiro also avoids with ease. Ribeiro fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ribeiro moves into range and clinches up with Vieri. Ribeiro throws a knee to the head but misses.

Vieri is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vieri as he jumps to the side. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vieri tries to clinch up but Ribeiro circles away and keeps his distance.

Vieri manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Ribeiro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vieri looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Ribeiro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Vieri misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Horrible takedown by Vieri or perhaps it was just good defense by Ribeiro which made him look bad. Ribeiro looks for a takedown but Vieri sprawls well. Vieri has closed the distance and engaged Ribeiro in a clinch.

Vieri tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ribeiro paws at him with a jab and circles away. Vieri throws a head kick that misses and Ribeiro counters by clinching up. Ribeiro stalling in the clinch.

Vieri drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ribeiro dives on top into guard. Vieri trying to keep a closed guard but Ribeiro is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vieri managing to control the position. Vieri wants to sweep here but Ribeiro controlling him for the moment. Ribeiro is working Vieri over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Vieri not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ribeiro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vieri on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ribeiro controlling from the top position. Charles Ribeiro is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ribeiro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vieri is keeping the position for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Charles Ribeiro showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ribeiro, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
