Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nikola Barbalic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Give it Away as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Austin Smith!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbalic closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Barbalic pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Barbalic keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Barbalic.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.
Barbalic looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Smith looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Barbalic with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Smith is looking to take a break and control but Barbalic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Smith is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Barbalic is just riding it out for now. Smith eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Smith looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Smith goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Barbalic is on top in guard.
Smith wants to sweep here but Barbalic controlling him for the moment.
Barbalic has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Barbalic is stalling here. Smith is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Barbalic seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Smith has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

I would just about give that final round to Austin Smith.
Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
