The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szlesz gets caught flat footed, as Davis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Szlesz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Davis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Davis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Szlesz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davis defends it easily.
Szlesz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Szlesz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Davis stands up over Szlesz, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Davis is looking to advance position but Szlesz has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Szlesz quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Szlesz but it's paid off an Davis is forced to tap! Nice work by Szlesz.
